The Children North East fatherhood centre and Fathers Plus supports network meetings, conferences, workshops and other events for managers, practitioners and individuals across the UK.

Events

In October 2005 the largest ever celebration of fatherhood took place in the UK when we held 'Celebration 2005: Fatherhood Past and Present. The event enabled over 100 organisations to build relationships with fathers and male carers in their community.

Networks

The fatherhood centre supports networks of workers to work together to achieve the inclusion of men in their specific sector or locality.

In the North East of England we support the North East Father Work Forum and a number of local groups..

We hold informal meetings where workers can hear guest speakers, plan events, discuss latest news in the sector and share resources and best practice.
